Spanish graduates earning a misery
February 23, 2008
The salary of Spanish University graduates is amongst the lowest in Europe, according to a study presented by ANECA (Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación). Moreover, the Spanish students are amid the least satisfied with their studies; only 50% of them would redo the same career, and in the same University.
The study was carried out on those who finished their studies 5 years ago, during the academic year 1999-2000. Germany, Switzerland and Norway double the Spanish University graduate salaries, having an average of 4.000 Euros compared to Spain’s 1.414 Euros, whereby they are only placed above the Czech Republic.
Amid the best-paid lie the graduates of the Technology sector (2.107 Euros), the Health sciences (1.802 Euros) and the Business and Economy (1.652 Euros), whereas we find Humanities in the lower level of the scale (1.256 Euros).
Nevertheless, they value their satisfaction at their work place 3,7 on a scale of 5.
The Spanish are also the ones still living with their parents whilst they work, it is therefore not surprising that for their independence and solvency they need an application for personal loans.
